Denny and Brenda Truett
Denny was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and raised in Honduras by missionary parents. Early on he knew he was called to ministry and after graduating from high school in Honduras he returned to the United States to attend LIFE Bible College. He married Brenda while at LIFE and upon graduation they were assigned as missionaries to Argentina. They served as missionaries for fifteen years. Denny’s main roles were in the areas of teaching, pastoring, and administration. He supervised the national Foursquare work in Argentina and then served as a regional missionary, living in Ecuador and serving with the national Foursquare works in Colombia, Venezuela and Peru. Denny, Brenda, and their three children returned to the United States in May of 2002. Denny served as assistant minister and then was named senior pastor of the Refuge in 2006.
Brenda was born in Bremerton Washington, left the United States at age two and grew up as a missionary kid in Argentina. She returned to the United States after graduating high school and attended LIFE Bible College. She married Denny while she was there and the two were assigned as missionaries to Argentina upon graduation. They served as missionaries for fifteen years. Brenda’s main roles were in the areas of teaching and music. Denny, Brenda and their three children returned to the United States in May of 2002. Brenda obtained a teaching degree from East Central University and is presently a teacher at Latta High School. She is the Worship Director and Women’s Ministries Leader at the Refuge.
