An engaging, energetic, and evangelistic experience where kids can encounter the presence of God in a real and dynamic way while going deeper in the truths of the Word of God. Leaders will be trained through being involved in skits, teaching lessons, prayer ministry, worship, and technology. It has a two-fold mission: (1) to raise up children equipped in the truth of God’s word and who have experienced His presence and (2) to train young leaders through active involvement and responsibility in the services each week. Sunday morning service for kids consists of Kid’s Engage Groups from 10-10:45 followed by worship and Kid’s Church.
Here at The Refuge, AWANA, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed, helps churches and parents train kids to know, love, and serve Christ. With the help of our dedicated volunteers, children ages 3 through 6th grade gain a strong spiritual foundation as they learn about salvation, their Savior, and the Word of God. Each Wednesday night Cubbies (ages 3-4), Sparks (kindergarten through 2nd grade), and Truth and Training (3rd through 6th grade) enjoy a time of age-appropriate fun and engaging activities that relate biblical truth to their lives and lead them to a real and personal relationship with Christ.
